Services
- Individual Coaching for College Students, Teenagers, Children and Adults with ADD, ADHD or other attention challenges.
- Individual Coaching for parents concerned about their child’s attention-related challenges.
- Workshops and Training regarding ADD, ADHD, time management, organization, productivity and other related topics. A recent teleclass attended had this to say, “Your class, ideas and tips were spot on and I think for me do-able – I really hope I stick with it and as you say ‘practice practice practice’ this is a brand new skill for me. I just wanted to thank you for giving me the courage to plunge in at the deep end.”
Benefits
As your coach, I will work with you to help you define and achieve your goals. Here are just a few examples of client successes:
- Professional: Developed a weekly schedule that allows for the management of a stressful job and family time.
- Business Owner: Went from always being late (and unprepared) to meetings to being early and thoroughly prepared.
- College student: Increased success and personal responsibility for studying and assignment completion.
Process
While you might be interested in coaching, this is probably the point where you have asked yourself,
“But what happens if I decide I want to hire Laura as My Attention Coach?”
Please read below for more information and contact us if you have questions or would like additional information.
- I start with a phone call to explain the process and answer questions that the you have.
- Strategy Session: The first session is one-and-a-half hours. Their purpose is to explore the clients strengths, challenges and begin formulating their goals. If the client is a child or teenager, the first session also includes the parent(s) or guardian(s).
- Coaching Sessions: After the Strategy Session, a typical arrangement involves weekly coaching sessions (30 – 45 minutes) either in person or over the phone.
- The client or their parent (depending on the client’s age) checks in with me throughout the week by email, text message or voice mail message. This support helps the client maximize their potential to implement their action plans and achieve their goals.
As action plans and goals are achieved, we might move on to new goals, plan for the longer term or you might decide to stop coaching. Coaching centers on the clients needs so those decisions are driven by the client.

Hi Laura,
I recently discovered your podcasts Practical Strategies and listen to them every chance I get.
I just started working as a project manager for a consulting firm and am now commuting 140 plus miles round trip most weekdays and sometimes weekends. My company has allowed me to set-up a private office at work as well as an identical home office and knows about my ADHD.
However, I find myself unable to get a grip on things with all of the traveling and multiple team changing issues. I was working in the same type of job before (managing projects) and adapted my ADHD workarounds to my job responsibilities. I can’t seem to get a handle on how to do that in this new job due to the traveling, the multiple industries and clients, and team members spread across the entire company (translation: USA).
My question is have you covered any topics that could help me with this situation or can you recommend any resources I could study/use to help me fix these issues and keep my job?
Any advice would be appreciated -Thanks Susan
I’m glad you find Practical ADHD Strategies useful Susan! I am thinking a great place for you to start would be to identify which planner and/or calendar would work best for you. I don’t think I have done a show on it (yet!), but I have a free guide that might be useful. You can get it here: http://myattentioncoach.com/adhd-coaching/are-you-using-the-right-planner-for-your-adhd/.
In the meantime, I’ll work on developing some shows on this topic!
Hello,
I have listened with rapt attention (and I have a whopping case of ADHD!) to several of your webinars. I truly appreciate your approach, advice and insights which always lead to real solutions for real people living imperfect lives in hopes of easing their struggles…. Thank you!
Sine – Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I’m glad that you find the teleseminars useful!!
Best regards,
Laura
